SpencerIsland 9-Spice Avocado Toast

I am so done seeing everyone post photos of their Avocado Toast…but when Becky made me this version, I had to share.

It’s not necessarily the Toast or Avocado that makes this, it is the 9-spice mix that Becky found in the Oh She Glows Every Day recipe book.

So, let’s start with the seasoning (make plenty and keep in a shaker)

*Note: The seasoning is Vegan, Gluten-Free, Nut-Free, Soy-Free & Oil Free

  • 1 tablespoon sweet paprika
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon dried minced onion
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons fine sea salt
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons dried oregano
  • 3/4 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • 3/4 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 3/4 teaspoon smoked paprika

Set seasoning aside.  Now for the toast (not sure the exact order but will update when I speak to Chef Becky.)

What you will need;

  • Gluten Free Bread
  • Hummus
  • Sunflower Seeds
  • Avocado
  • 9-Spice Seasoning

Now, layer and eat:

  1. Gluten Free Toast (2 pieces)
  2. Top with Hummus
  3. Sprinkle the above seasoning on both pieces
  4. Top with Sunflower Seeds
  5. Top with Avocado
  6. Eat!
